The Eastern Sun Karate Club classes are offered through Caroline County, Maryland, Recreation and Parks in Denton Maryland.
Under the direction of 5th Degree Black Belt John Liszewski, Shotokan Karate
offers youth and adults an opportunity to improve self-control, general fitness and conditioning, self-confidence and the understanding of the mechanics of self-defense. Begining classes introduce the students to the basics of this discipline. The advanced class is open to students with a minimum of 10 weeks of prior instruction.
Classes are on Mondays and Thursdays from 7:00 to 9:00 pm at the remodeled Denton Armory, now called the General James F Fretterd Community Center. They are located on the corner of 4th and Randolph Streets.

News: Caroline County Parks and Recreation is sponsoring a charity event on Feburary 21, 2009. Students of Eastern Sun Karate (Parks and Rec), Preston Shotokan and Talbot Shotokan Karate are getting together to hold a small tournament to promote wellness and fitness. Some of the proceeds will be donated to The American Heart Association since February is Healthy Heart month.
